Ek Tha Tiger Movie Review

There is something about espionage stories and Hindi cinema, they both never seem to gel Ek Tha Tiger is no different than the hyped trend of agents this year, with a fizzle with a whimper.
Salman is a RAW agent jumping from one mission to another world and trot in the process. He falls for Katrina, an ISI agent, both conclude their respective Äúfarz, AU ditch for their country and live happily ever after. Clear and perpendicular, the two new actors who portray these characters never before seen, are remarkable. Reemma Sen is not much room here. Pankaj Tripathi breathes fire into his part. Watch him gun on his sister, the expressions on his face gives you goosebumps. Anurita Jha effective. Rajkumar Yadav, Vineet Singh, Jameel Khan, Yashpal Sharma, each actor justifies his presence in the film.
On the whole gangs of WASSEYPUR 2 is a show all by Anurag Kashyap and without a shred of doubt, can easily be listed as one among his greatest works. A fascinating film with some bravura moments. Watch out for his absolute cinematic brilliance!

The music of Jism 2 is soothing and soulful. Clearly the emphasis is on melody here. The cinematography is top notch. The DoP captures the lush green locales of Sri Lanka magnificently.
Sunny Leone is dazzling to look at and has an incredible body, but she does deliver as an actress? To start with, Pooja has, very smartly, cast her as a seductress. But be warned … KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM is a hilarious entertainer who belongs to the category of hardcore commercial cinema, “as we call them in film language, focusing on the magnetization of the masses in hordes. It is for viewers who continuously thirst for hilarious entertainment. It is not for pseudo intellectuals, nor for fuddy-duddies or hard-nosed and stubborn evaluators, who continually reject and ignore films of her peers as lowbrow absurdity.
KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM revolves around two friends, Adi [Tusshar Kapoor] and Sid [Riteish Deshmukh]. Adi is an ambitious actor who appears in tacky ads, while Sid is a DJ, who never had the right opportunities. The story takes a turn when they embark on an adventurous trip to Goa to get something invaluable.
As I mentioned earlier, KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM is poor and focuses on young adults. In fact, even some skeptics who laugh out loud while watching an AMERICAN PIE, enjoy the ludicrousness and hilarity of KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM.
Not here looking for a groundbreaking story! From what you collect, director Sachin Yardi longs for the audience ‘laugh at any cost. Yardi has kept the story quickly and completely integrated some clever lines to keep the laughter alive. There are sooooo many hilarious episodes in the film and some naughty jokes too. A bucket full of double entenders. I would say, the sequences and part of the dialogue will stun you. But it’s still fun, with laughter unlimited. In fact, it is a film that is ideal can be referred to as an “anti-stress entertainer ‘.
All stains? Although there is hardly a dull moment in his rapid scenario, I would add, KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM vague droops in the middle, but again decided on an unpredictable lively high. There are some jokes that work big time, while only a few are trying very hard to cheer calls.

But do the three stories connect with each other? Now that’s one question that shouldn’t be answered in a review. It may rob the film of its magnetism.
I have watched both the films and let me enlighten you that both are dissimilar to each other. Perhaps, the idea of three love stories in three different eras may have germinated from the Taiwanese film, but that’s about it. The story and treatment of THREE TIMES is poles apart, whileTERI MERI KAHAANI is the atypical love story that one is accustomed to watching. So, there. A happenstance in the subject matter doesn’t make it analogous or a blatant replication, does it?
Can we truly love one person throughout our life and hope that fate makes us meet the same person in every life of ours? This story takes us through a journey of eternal love between a couple who have vowed to love each other not only in this life, but in every life to follow. Their love is so strong that even destiny wants to bring them together. The story starts in 1960 Bombay withGovind and Ruksar, then moves ahead to present times, 2012 England with Radha and Krish and then goes back in time to Punjab 1910 with Aradhana and Javed.
Can Javed and Aradhana still be together? Will Ruksar realize that Govind’s feeling for her were genuine? Will Krish be able to clear the misunderstandings?
Independently and collectively, the three love stories divided in three different eras of TERI MERI KAHAANI do accomplish at portraying how our lives are influenced and even revolutionized by the times we live in. However, the film doesn’t thrive on all accounts, there are a few dull moments [the present-day story stagnates after a point and the pacing tends to get unhurried, thus making you fidgety and impatient at times], but buried in its experimental storytelling and innate performances is a heartwarming tale that’s gratifying and succeeds in planting a smile on your face. Especially the way Kunal concludes the three stories!
On the brighter side, there are no preceding births, nobody expires or recalls meeting earlier. The viewer is well aware that Shahid and Priyanka have met before, but the characters are completely clueless about the past.
Different eras are the crux of this motion picture. In fact, these eras take the account frontward. Each story tackles diverse times and societal principles and at least two stories — the Poona andPunjab episodes — keep you hooked [screenplay: Robin Bhatt and Kunal Kohli]. While recreating the pre-independence India must have been tough, Sappel has recreated the era of 1960s impeccably well. TERI MERI KAHAANI is, without doubt, one of the better albums by Sajid-Wajid. In fact, Sajid-Wajid and lyricist Prasoon Joshi make sure the soundtrack is extremely likeable, especially these tracks — ‘Jabse Mere Dil Ko Uff’, ‘Mukhtasar’, ‘Allah Jaane’ and ‘Humse Pyaar Karle Tu’. Sunil Patel’s cinematography is top notch. Dialogue, penned by Kunal Kohli, are poetic and romantic.
Not many actors get the opportunity to portray three diverse roles in a single movie. But Shahid carries each of those parts with refinement, besides looking debonair in each character. There is no quizzing his performing abilities either. He pulls the act with effortlessness and panache. As a matter of fact, whenever Shahid has attempted something diverse, the results have been luminous. From playing a musician in Bollywood to a compulsive flirt in Punjab to the unflustered and trendy youngster settled in U.K., Shahid does an exceptional job. Among the three characters, his take as Javed is sure to win him accolades.
As the spirited Aradhana of 1910, the dazzling movie star Rukhsar of 1960 or the joyful Radha of 2012, Priyanka is a complete livewire in each of the acts. On a personal level, I liked her the most as Aradhana, a full-on Punjabi girl who’s vivacious and bubbly. What also makes the film work is the chemistry the two actors share. They appear exceptionally comfy with each other and bring to the table what the spectators are looking for.
Prachi Desai is sparkling in a cameo. Neha Sharma is decent. Vrajesh Hirjee does well. Surendra Palis okay.
On the whole, TERI MERI KAHAANI is uncomplicated and charming. Not the usual romantic fare, this one presents three different stories in three different eras without getting theatrical or melodramatic. Thanks to its innovative storytelling, it comes across as the perfect date movie, holding tremendous appeal for the Facebook Gen. TERI MERI KAHAANI is pleasurable and fascinating in equal measures!

GANGS OF WASSEYPUR has a capricious first half, but the film advances vigorously post intermission. There’s never a tedious moment in the second half of the gangster epic, the plot throws a number of disclosures at you, it dribbles with visual style, laces up with commanding, acidic and witty lines… with Rajiv Ravi’s camera moving incessantly. In fact, there’s so much that Anurag invests in the movie. Clearly, he has that streak of courage that very few film-makers in Mumbai pride themselves in. But there’s a flipside too: The screenplay could’ve been crisper and taut. It slackens sporadically [in the first hour specifically]. Most importantly, the excessive run time makes you fidgety, even though the content leaves you mesmerized and captivated on numerous junctures.
Also, you ought to have a really strong stomach to absorb a film like GANGS OF WASSEYPUR. The generous usage of expletives/cuss words, the gruesome violence, the repugnant visuals can prove to be disconcerting to an oblivious spectator. Besides, ‘Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki’ and ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’, the evergreen tracks from yesteryear hits, are smartly placed in the narrative.
BANDIT QUEEN, SATYA, ZUBEIDAA, AKS, PINJAR, 1971, SWAMI, RAAJNEETI and LANKA are some of the performances of Manoj Bajpayee which are, for eternity, committed to memory. The skilled actor now adjoins GANGS OF WASSEYPUR to this imposing listing, wherein Bajpayee appends incredible value and weightage to the intense character he depicts. Jaideep Ahlawat is another actor who leaves an indelible impact. He’s fantastic! Jameel Khan, who features prominently with Manoj Bajpayee all though, is effective. Pankaj Tripathi is in terrific form. Note the flare-up at the marriage. He’s fabulous! Vipin Sharma gets into the skin of the character and delivers a wonderful performance. Vineet Singh, who portrays Manoj’s elder son, is perfect. Yashpal Sharma appears in a cameo. Anurita Jha gets minimal screen presence in this first part.
On the whole, GANGS OF WASSEYPUR symbolizes the fearless new Indian cinema that shatters the clichés and conventional formulas, something which Anurag Kashyap has come to be acknowledged for. It has all the trappings of an entertainer, but with a difference. The film prides itself with substance that connects with enthusiasts of new-age cinema. But, I wish to restate, one needs to have a really strong belly to soak up to a film like GANGS OF WASSEYPUR. Also, this striking movie-watching experience comes with a colossal length and duration.
